COVID 19 Update 16 Apr 20

Dear 3DAAA Affiliated Clubs & Members Date: 16th April 2020
Addressing Management of the
Current COVID 19 Pandemic

Following on from our last communication on the 2nd April of 2020, where we advised in light of the latest changing events related to the COVID-19 Pandemic all Sanctioned and Special events on the 2020 calendar are to be postponed / suspended until the 30th of April 2020.

In reviewing the current situation with State & Territory guidelines our advice to our members and clubs has not changed other than we now advise that Sanctioned and Special events on the 2020 calendar are to be postponed / suspended indefinitely for 2020.

In the coming weeks we will be working with clubs directly to have a contingency plan should the opportunity present itself for the remainder of the season.

At the same time we will be working with updates from the States & Territories to ensure that we can return to our sport as soon as it is possible, minimising the risk to our members and the wider community.

It is important that all our members across the States & Territories comply with the current requirements (note these are now potentially not going to change over the next 4 weeks as per latest updates and it is your responsibility to keep abreast of these changing requirements), some of which now have fines and penalties associated with them and are enforceable by law for the non-compliance. 3DAAA advise ALL our Affiliated Clubs that in complying with the Government’s Guidelines we once again strongly recommend clubs no longer use their grounds for any club activities. This includes individual practice on club grounds.
3DAAA is supporting the now tighter restrictions advise travel to the archery range is not considered essential; especially if it is not in your own local neighbourhood.

Not complying with this advice from 3DAAA, and the advice from the Government, State, Federal as well as Local governing bodies may leave the executives of the clubs not meeting compliance requirements becoming personally liable should a claim be made from a member or the public.
3DAAA Insurance for our Affiliated Clubs cannot be guaranteed where the club fails to comply with the conditions outlined in our communications to clubs.

We thank you for your ongoing support during this challenging time.
